One man's account of the proceedings

Beginning on Friday night, have to say that given the limitations of the technology, the streaming movie was a success. We laughed and thoroughly enjoyed Outlaw, a farce, obviously, and well beyond any serious consideration. However, one can't help but appreciate the few little tidbits of authenticity contained therein, they say "tal", and refer to "homestone". There was even a slave auction. So, most in attendance were able to view the entire movie from beginning to end, and everyone relaxed and had fun.

As for the introductions and humor offered by your humble correspondant, I actually heard a few laughs. It is my firm belief that I can produce corroborating witnesses, so I'll leave it to others to say one way or the other. I enjoyed it, however, I can say without equivocation.

The Saturday morning Treasure Hunt went without a hitch. We look forward to doing others in the future.

With the Art Show, the lineup of events began. Described live on Gorean's Portal Radio, by razi berry, and guided by Agamemnon Padar, we saw a number of artists from Second Life Gor as well as some of the older items such as book cover art and other familiar classic Gorean paintings and illustrations, by numerous artists and newer stuff by software renderers. A broad spectrum was represented. Dark Starr's work impressed as did Greta        . as well as slavegirls falcon, kyss, and tersa. More on the blog, but this has to go out.

"Schendi Heat" surpassed all our expectations. We officially dedicated the show to Josephine Baker, famous exotic dancer, singer and actress from the first half of the twentieth century. The sim was maxed out at fifty while ebony introduced the seven dancers in the competition, each in turn, falcon, aphrodisia, hayden, kyss, tersa, sparkle and mily.

Next, Gorean Squares turned out to be as much fun as anyone could have hoped for. Turns out it is just as freewheeling and raucous in Second Life Gor as it was in Palace. Sundance, Bartok, Ubar Scar, SilverFox, VictorianLace, Kisuul, Chaz, Kal, falcon, tersa, and mellyn all dropped one liners relentlessly, and has everyone else rolling. I wish I could have heard ladina's GPR broadcast in real time, but it would have been impossible to keep track of the action had I tried that.

We wrapped it up the next day, Sunday, with a mini Kaissa Tournament. We ended up with five players and I won't go into great detail as to how that actually worked out. Perhaps Astary can explain it when the history is actually written, heh, but Sara, Basa, Scar, Strein, and Roman all played and I think its fair to say the Strein walked away with the highest honors. Well played by all, good games, and we look forward to the return of Kaissa to Schendi.

So in brief, thats how it went. We are tired, and well pleased. Thanks everyone and I'll post more details on the blogg as the week goes by, including pictures. Smiles. I wish you all well.
