Beginning on Friday night, have to say that given the limitations of the technology, the streaming movie was a success. We laughed and thoroughly enjoyed Outlaw, a farce, obviously, and well beyond any serious consideration. However, one can't help but appreciate the few little tidbits of authenticity contained therein, they say "tal", and refer to "homestone". There was even a slave auction. So, most in attendance were able to view the entire movie from beginning to end, and everyone relaxed and had fun.
As for the introductions and humor offered by your humble correspondant, I actually heard a few laughs. It is my firm belief that I can produce corroborating witnesses, so I'll leave it to others to say one way or the other. I enjoyed it, however, I can say without equivocation.
The Saturday morning Treasure Hunt went without a hitch. We look forward to doing others in the future.
With the Art Show, the lineup of events began. Described live on Gorean's Portal Radio, by razi berry, and guided by Agamemnon Padar, we saw a number of artists from Second Life Gor as well as some of the older items such as book cover art and other familiar classic Gorean paintings and illustrations, by numerous artists and newer stuff by software renderers. A broad spectrum was represented. Dark Starr's work impressed as did Greta . as well as slavegirls falcon, kyss, and tersa. More on the blog, but this has to go out.
"Schendi Heat" surpassed all our expectations. We officially dedicated the show to Josephine Baker, famous exotic dancer, singer and actress from the first half of the twentieth century. The sim was maxed out at fifty while ebony introduced the seven dancers in the competition, each in turn, falcon, aphrodisia, hayden, kyss, tersa, sparkle and mily.
Next, Gorean Squares turned out to be as much fun as anyone could have hoped for. Turns out it is just as freewheeling and raucous in Second Life Gor as it was in Palace. Sundance, Bartok, Ubar Scar, SilverFox, VictorianLace, Kisuul, Chaz, Kal, falcon, tersa, and mellyn all dropped one liners relentlessly, and has everyone else rolling. I wish I could have heard ladina's GPR broadcast in real time, but it would have been impossible to keep track of the action had I tried that.
We wrapped it up the next day, Sunday, with a mini Kaissa Tournament. We ended up with five players and I won't go into great detail as to how that actually worked out. Perhaps Astary can explain it when the history is actually written, heh, but Sara, Basa, Scar, Strein, and Roman all played and I think its fair to say the Strein walked away with the highest honors. Well played by all, good games, and we look forward to the return of Kaissa to Schendi.
So in brief, thats how it went. We are tired, and well pleased. Thanks everyone and I'll post more details on the blogg as the week goes by, including pictures. Smiles. I wish you all well.

The time for our Fourth Anniversary Celebration is rapidly approaching. Some important aspects of that are already well underway. We'll be using the new Kaissa tent which debuted recently for the match between Greenway Avril and Eldin Stonecutter. The Players displayed their not inconsiderable skill and we received some nice compliments on the facility also, by the way. So we'll have that for Kaissa on Sunday of the event weekend. The dance pavillion is ready as well and we have decided on a preliminary round where the field will narrow to six dancers on Saturday June 5. We've asked Dar Ruska to provide an opening performance. Schendi's ebony breda will perform her interpretation of "Schendi heat" in exhibition for the theme of the dance event.
The event will include a Gorean trivia game, always enjoyable. We find it more than exciting doing something a bit different in that regard, Gorean Squares. This is going to be fun! Something interesting and exciting from my experience in Palace Gor, where the festivals had a unique by the book atmosphere. Folks from various homes gathered in peace for enjoyment and making connections. Thelxepeia of PalGor originated this adaptation of the television show, Hollywood Squares, and it was a big hit. Think Gorean trivia with a healthy dose of humor. Imagine the nine wise and witty panelists stacked in the familiar tic tac toe configuration. We'll have fun with Schendi related questions and quips. We are looking forward to some laughs as well as interesting knowledge to share. The set we've created promises to amaze and take full advantage of the capabilities of Second Life. We'll need nine panelists, of course, so let us know if you can participate. Knowledge and the ability to bluff and make a joke perhaps are all important traits to possess.
Thinking that the beginning of the weekend should happen in a relaxing manner, the plan was to start Friday night off storytelling and then proceed with a movie. When we ran into a little difficulty with finding the right storyteller, someone joked that I could do some comedy. Well, this remains to be seen, but whoever is interested in seeing this experiment should make a point to be at "The League" in Schendi on Friday night at four PM SL time. Then the movie, streamed to the screen at the theater. The film will be the classic Gor movie, Outlaw, based on the work of John Norman. Obviously, not a serious treatment of the subject, as anyone who has seen a bit of it will know, our version will amuse for sure. We will present Mystery Science Theatre 3000, episode 519. For anyone who isnt familiar, this is the show where the cartoon silouettes sit and make wisecracks about the movie. Outlaw stars Jack Palance and Donna Denton among others. "The main character's name "Cabot" is spoken more than 55 times in the opening 10 minutes alone, mostly by his friend Watney Smith". So you get the idea. We'll have fun.
Saturday, we'll continue the weekend program with Sidewalk Art. Schendi looks forward to seeing some excellent examples of the things that Goreans are doing these days. At two, after that, "Schendi Heat", the dance exhibition and competition. We'll follow with Gorean Squares at 5pm slt and at 7pm we hope as many of our Gorean friends as possible will gather to dance at the Ancient City ruins on the shore of Lake Shaba above the Falls of Bila Huruma. My girl razi, has worked hard on a compilation of jungle themed and jungle related tunes or our enjoyment. This promises to be a special event and the Ancient City will amaze and please as well.
Sunday we'll open the day with an interesting and inspiring Kaissa Match and close the Celebration at "The League" for a presentation of a Slavegirl's Story,
more details later, until then, I wish you all well
